Documentary film series

Cal State San Marcos will be showing Jonathan Berman's new documentary "Commune," on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. in Room 240.
The movie is about a small commune in an isolated part of California that practices ideals such as free love and shared land. Admission is free, but parking costs $2 - $6 per hour.

New Boehm Gallery exhibit

The Boehm Gallery is now showing "Artist's Invitational." The exhibit runs through Nov. 4 and features work from nine different artists. Works include sculpture and paintings. Gallery admission is free. Hours are Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Palomar Chorale off-campus performance

The Palomar Chorale will be performing with the United Methodist Church Choir on Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Vista. They will be singing Faure's "Requiem," and "Melodious Accord," by Alice Parker.

Palomar Symphony Orchestra

The Palomar Symphony Orchestra will be performing at the Howard Brubeck Theatre on Oct. 22 and 23. The performance includes Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5," and Dvorak's "Slavic Dances." On Oct. 22, the show will start at 8 p.m. The Oct. 23 show starts at 2 p.m. Students with a valid ID can get tickets for $8. General admission is $12.

Free classical music

On Oct. 20, Paivikki Nykter and Cynthia Darby will be performing works by Bach, Schumann and Debussy. Nykter will play violin and Darby will play piano. The concert begins at 12:30 p.m. in room D-12. Admission is free.
